Handwritten Indenture on Vellum. London. 13, July 1688. Measures 30.5" wide by 25" tall, written in English and some Latin in brown ink.

Nicely scalloped top edge with a large and elaborate flourish of handwriting of the beginning of the first T and the I. Attached is a 5" pendant or 2 narrow sheets of vellum including 2 red wax seals inside that perhaps kept the indenture closed.

74 lines in the document, generally legible. Some discoloration along edges and some age-browning, the usual fold lines. No holes or tears. Circular red wax seal measuring half inch, Generally Good.

The fact that two of the most prominent churches are featured in this indenture, may mean this document is possibly relevant to a study of the History of Catholic and Protestant rule in England.]
