(London Bridge)  {Vües d'Optique} Le Fauxbourge St. Octave, sur la Tamise.  N.d., (ca. 1790s).  Copper engraving, hand colored.  Image measuring 9 1/2 " x 17" - with its margins measuring 11" x 18". A Paris chez J[acques]. Chereau [engraver].  Title is mirrored at top portion of engraving. The scene gives the viewer a strong perspective of the River Thames, with emphasis on the tide and rolling waves.  To be viewed on a Zograscope, a popular parlor amusement in the 18th and early 19th centuries.  Mounted on heavy board.  Handled often and therefore shows wear and darkening around edges, but colors bright, generally Good to VG.
