Handwritten Indenture on Vellum. December 24, 1683. Leicester Square, London. Measures 27" wide by 24" tall, written in black and brown inks.

Relates to the lease of land for 41 years in the area of Leicester Square to Michael Rolles.

Describes the coordinates 50' x 37' and position of the 37 foot courtyard which faces South onto Lisle Street. 

57 lines, all legible. Some discoloration along edges and some age-browning, but not brittle, no tears. Usual fold lines and remains of a hole where originally there had been a seal. Generally Good.

With, a separate 9" x 6.75" sheet of vellum that shows measurement in feet of the other properties the land faces, strings attached. Bright, Good condition.
