Dark red cloth, gilt lettering on spine, covers darkened, edges lightly scuffed, some pps. stained, previous owner's name in pen at ffe, else tight, generally Good. Well-written, e.g. "A generous wholesome diet is less expensive than doctors' bills, and less trouble than the care of the sick." She was the daughter of Joseph Shillaber, the American humorist who penned & invented the character Mrs. Partington.
